ReThinking Church Health

Featuring presenters:

*Dr. Larry Osborne

Breaking Through Ceilings of Competency & Complexity

Sooner or later, every leader and every organization hits a ceiling of competency and complexity. Those who break through move on to new heights – those who don’t flounder and die.

STICKY TEAMS: Building A Healthy Leadership Team

From The Ground Up Healthy and unified leadership teams don’t just happen. They have to be created AND maintained.

THE BARNABAS FACTOR: Finding & Developing Leaders

Ultimately, the success of any ministry depends on our ability to find, develop, and multiply leaders.

Dr. Larry Osborne meets with Student Ministry Pastors - Larry can cover whatever he wants to in this workshop with our Student Ministry Pastors

*Dr. Bill Hamel, EFCA President

An Interview with EFCA President Dr. Bill Hamel

*Chris Holck, EFCA Encore Director

1.    "Intergenerational Health: Removing Silos in the Church"

There is a difference between a multi-generational church where there is four or five generations under the same church roof and an inter-generational church where those generations actually know each other and build into each other’s lives. Practical ideas will be shared.

2.    "Helping Boomers (and Builders) to Finish Well"

All Christians are interested to know their spiritual birthright but Boomers are particularly restless to know what unique contribution God has for them. This workshop will offer practical tools.

*Dante Upshaw, EFCA African-American Director

*Dave Rofkahr, Reach Global Director of Recruiting

1.     “The Color World of Modern Missions – a denominational perspective on becoming missional”

The challenge of moving from the black and white to the color world; from institutional to missional.

2.    “Our Iceberg is Melting – Inspiring the Next Generation to Global Missions”

If it’s true that only 3 of 10 twenty-somethings attend church in a typical week, What will it take to motivate the next generation to Pray, Give, Go, Welcome, Mobilize?

*Philip Abode, Samaritan Way team member

“Help That Goes the Distance”

Based on the books, "When Helping Hurts" by Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert and Tim Keller's "Generous Justice", Samaritan Way offers a practical workshop on how to help humbly and effectively so that your justice and compassion work will go the full distance.

*Sean Matthew O’Brien on the use of social media and the local church

“YouTwitFace – Appropriately combining YouTube, Twitter and Facebook to spark social media driven growth for your church.”

This workshop will help church leaders recognize how they can maximize free social media networks to tell the story of their church to the world.  The workshop will be 40% presentation, 33% lab (both visual and interactive) and 27% Q&A.

*Steve Johnson, Christian Investors Financial Vice President

1.    Financial Options for Your Ministry Expansion - Covering what you should be aware of with respect to real estate loans, capital campaigns, investments (CIF specific), consulting services available.

Hosted By

EFCA Texas - Oklahoma District

Our mission is to glorify God by working together to multiply healthy churches among all people across Texas and Oklahoma. Our vision is to see our churches plant 100 new churches during the next ten years. We firmly believe that we’re better together and can accomplish much more for Christ by working together as we serve Him. We want to see unhealthy churches become healthy; healthy churches become even healthier; and all churches multiply!

We are a Gospel-centered movement which catalyzes multiplication in our churches so they transform lives and communities for God’s glory.
